This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and related services, why we collect it, and how we handle it. By using this site or contacting us, you agree to this policy.
Who we are
Acharya Vedica is a personal practice offering private Vedic Lifestyle guidance in Jyotish, Vastu, and Ayurveda. This is not a multi-vendor marketplace. Consultations are typically booked through Topmate via our Book page.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact and inquiry details you submit through forms (for example name, email, and message on the Connect page).
- Consultation details you choose to share for guidance (such as birth details, location preferences, or session notes). Share only what you are comfortable providing.
- Account or login details, if you create or use a site account (for example name, phone number, and related profile fields).
- OTP verification data, when we send one-time passwords through MSG91 to verify a phone number.
- Lead and communication records, including messages you send by WhatsApp, email, or other channels you initiate.
- Technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from IP, used for security, analytics, and site performance.
- Cookies and similar technologies used for basic site function and analytics (see below).
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to inquiries and provide consultations or educational content you request
- Schedule and manage sessions (including coordination with Topmate where bookings are placed there)
- Verify phone numbers via OTP where that feature is enabled
- Improve the website, measure traffic, and diagnose technical issues
- Send service-related messages you request (for example booking follow-ups)
- Protect the site against abuse, fraud, or security incidents
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
Analytics, Firebase, and cookies
We use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-S6RH27BRNT) to understand how visitors use the site. Analytics tools may set cookies or use similar identifiers.
We may also use Google Firebase (project acharyavedica-avs) for app or web service features such as analytics, messaging, or crash reporting, where those features are enabled.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect site features. Google provides additional controls for Analytics; see Google’s privacy resources for details.
Third-party services
We use trusted providers to operate the site and deliver services. These may include:
- Topmate for session booking and payment processing for consultations
- MSG91 for OTP and related messaging
- Google Analytics and Firebase for analytics and related infrastructure
- Hosting and email providers that store or transmit site and communication data
- WhatsApp when you choose to message us at +91 98270 80111
Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. When you book on Topmate, Topmate’s policies also apply to that transaction.
Sharing of information
We share information only as needed to run the practice, for example with service providers listed above, or when required by law. We do not share consultation details for advertising networks or sell lead lists.
Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including responding to you, maintaining session records you expect us to hold, legal or accounting needs, and security. Inquiry forms, leads, and analytics data may be retained for operational periods and then deleted or anonymized when no longer needed. You may ask us to review or delete information we control, subject to legal limits.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect personal information. No online system is completely secure. Please use strong passwords for any account and avoid sharing sensitive data over public channels when a private session is more appropriate.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Your choices
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, where applicable.
- You may opt out of non-essential marketing messages by telling us; service messages related to a booking may still be necessary.
- You may adjust cookie and tracking preferences in your browser.
International visitors
Our practice is based in India. If you access the site from another country, your information may be processed in India or in locations where our service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above will change when we post updates. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the revised policy.
